Thats a yfz.....so he would have to rework all of his front end frame design, plus with that swinger his design would be way off on rake. Not to mention you could probably part that out and pay for a TPC.

but would it honestly handle better then the quad? i love my trikes but they dont handle better. now i have never rode the TPC but no matter what it is at a disadvantage.


dont say they handle "different" i know that. on a skid pad with a G meter which would pull a higher G's without losing it? which would fly / land better and which would go faster in a straight line with less steering input?

have you ever ridden a atc with a long swing arm? even the TPC wont be able to fight the fact that a long swing arm and 3 wheels is a bitch in the dunes. the bikes going to turn like a semi... it would be a waste to use that yfz. go buy a bone stocker for 2800 and use that one...

i was not arguing in favor of using that swing arm. sorry. also i have not got quad experience. just saying that if it was converted by TPC that it would handle well. i can only compare the TPC to other trikes though.

Adam your a funny dude. this guy has more trikes AND quads than most on here. And most of them are perty dam nice too. He knows very well about how a trike with a arm will handle. And how a TPC will hanldle. I would almost bet money that converted to trike by TPC would handle better than it does as the quad. Simple fact is that Marvin shaw shocks are not very good shocks, they are awesome for drag guys that bumps are minimul and they want the light weight thing. But to actually ride, they suck.

AND i have this question, have you ever bought one and had it designed for a specific application ? had a nitrogen bottle with you to be able to adjust the pressure till it worked.? and i don't mean a moto-x application because i know they were not designed for that....

The tpc does handle amazing for those of you who havent rode one, and I agree I think it does handle better, at least in the sand, than the 4 wheeled father it came from.

Richard, I am pretty sure most people relized it was a joke. I have yet to build a Yamaha version and I would think that most people know I would never release a product unless it has been throughly tested first.

the joke part was did he even really own it ? or just an internet picture to start a thread,, as far as converting it thats not an issue,, it never was,,, when i saw this quad on CL here in phoenix i called the guybecause i have seen the pictures before.funny thing is they are the exact pictures from january here. .. all i was after was info... the parts are reasonably priced and i would like to know about the motor,,,, so far i have 2 stories , so i don't need a pretty basketcase,, or something thats going to blow,, its way to expensive to rebuild a 4 stroke 450 thats blown up.....

I traded him a prerunner ranger for it on Monday. As far as I know the porting is so bad on the head it won't run.it does have low hours. And I can send you more pics of my dog in the background if you want.

Richard, a new head and some time the bike should be good to go, but thats what i think it would take. The guy that built that quad i have done business with many times, and i dont think he would give me a run around, Figuring im going to work on it, BUT i never got any interest in it. If the bike ran, it would be an easy sell, its beautiful with some good parts. The bike was built to sit in a showroom, and say "look what i can build YOU" but in all reality it never ran, I personally do not believe it ever ran, but i do not no for sure. If it was run it was Extremely minimal.
