Hello All,

I just aquired two bikes from my brother's estate. One is an 82 185. It has been mo0dified extremely I believe. It has a very large two shock fork and rear suspension. This bike runs, barely but it runs. While at 1/3 to 2/3 throttle the bike barely revs, anything below or above those throttle settings the bike really wants to go. I need to figure out why it does this and why it is so darn hard to start.

The second is a 2 stroke 250. Other than the '250' faded sticker on the tank that is about all I know about it. It does not start and only has a kick start. Any ideas on what to look for and how to tell what year it is?

I would like to get both of these running and repaired properly but I have no cycle repair experience. I am restoring an older truck and would like to use these as a stress reliever from restoration pains!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Corvairguy

the 250 "could" be a Honda 250r. these were 2 stroke with kick start and have red fenders.

the 81-82 250r had the 250 in large letters on the tank. is the engine painted red also?

are you going to keep them or sell them?

:lala: Engine is Red, frame is Red, fenders are Red, tank has large 250 stickers on it faded, seriously faded but they are there.

I plan on keeping these bikes trying to get them back to stock condition and riding them as long as the wife will let me keep them. Hopefully I can get them fixed up, painted and quiet enough that she too will enjoy going for a ride:)

Any suggestion?:D

Thanks,
