I know I'm not the 1st nor the only one to put tracks on a 70 but, with the winter going on it's 9th month (atleast it feels like it). I decided to get tracks mounted on a 70.
Onece I have made sure they work without breaking I will disassemble and powder coat all the parts, put a new set of fenders on, and shave the seat and put a new seat cover on.
I was thinking of making up a original set of decals ( Peewee you can chime in here any time) and maybe a different color.
Any suggestions??

That's cool as hell! What's with the disk brake up front? I see a serious need to have heel guards on this little tractor!:headbang:

The disk break is not finished. This is my "Project 70", I am always doing something with it. I am probably goint take that set up off of it and get it finished on my '83 70.
The snow plow thing is a good idea! I'm not sure if the 70 has enough weight to get enough traction to do any good though. The speed on this thing is SLOW! With the tires it will run 25-30 MPH (it is a Chineese 110 with no gears) but with the Tracks it will run 10- 12 MPH but, it has a ton of power!!

I am thinking of putting a Kitty Cat ski on it for the whole "snowmobile" thing. I got a respons from Peewee last night but I'm still not sure what to do with the look. I was thinking that the ATC on the back decal needs to be something different like, "ATRC". I don't know??

im sure with some gearing changes you could get more speed! but still that is pretty sweet! nice mad scientist!

Well back in WWII, the Germans made a full size trike with a wheel in the front and a set of tracks on the back. I dont know what they called it but there was one in the movie Saving Private Ryan. Toward the end of the movie, thats what they used to rabbit the tanks down the narrow street. This thing reminds me of that.. Paint it Army green. Those tracks rock. A larger clutched motor would be enough power to move small amounts of snow using a plow.

No, The tracks are off a walk behind snow blower.

If you look at my avatar, I have a new seat and fender for it, I just didn't want to mess them up.

Actually, this is a 110 with no gears. It has so much torqu you can't slow down the engine, you just loose traction. If I did go with a plow I would look for one of those little engines that have the reverse gear.

FlyingW, the german trike you are referring to is a kettinkrad. May not be spelled correctly though.
