what paint to use on 84 200x frame

what paint should i use on the frame of my 200x. i am not restoring it to original so if the color is a shade off i will live. i just want it to look good and hold up well.

When I rebuilt my YTM 200, I used good old rust paint. I had sandblasted the frame but I found after a few months of wet and mud some places started to break out in rust again. Your best bet is to clean the frame a best you can and apply a heavy coat of good quality metal paint. The gloss black I used wasn't exactally like the factory finish but it looked good when it was completed. As Neil Young said, Rust NEVER Sleeps (especially when your only minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean!:mad: )
