It -definently- would be silly to try to put a 200S engine it.

let em know if you dont want it--ill take it.

It would be a heck of a project. The motor mounts wont even come close i dont think. I am pretty sure the 350x frame is simalar in size and mounts to the 250r. And there is no way to put a 200 motor into a 350x with out a lot of adapters and special mounts.

Take a tape measure over to the 250r and mesaure up your mounts and see it they adapted to fit it.

As far as the tank goes. You could put a car gas tank on there if you wanted to. No matter how much gas flow you have the float in the carb will stop gas from flowing. So that wont be a problem.

And you might have to patch a couple of wires together to get the lights and kill switch to work. But i dont think you are going to be able to use your electric start unless you find a place to mount a battery.

So all and all any thing is doable. But the main concern for me would be the motor mounts.

Have you dont any mesurments on it yet. Do you know if they will interchange. Or what the difference is between the 350x and the 250r frames?.

Why destroy a good 250r roller? Just buy the motor that was made for it (Any ATC250r '81-'84 will work). They are cheap on ebay, about $120 ending price

Dirtsquirt if i want to get a 250r i would but i dont want a big to stroke right now i just want a 200s that rides good
and i dont see it as destroing it becuase its not beings used but than i will get it and put it to use
also to make the motor i plan on making it so it can be bolted in and if easly be changed back to 250r mostly just make brackets the bolt on stock holes and bolt on my motor if that cant be dont i will change frame alittle

If I were you and wanted a 200s with good suspension and good breaks, I'd get the 250r roller if it's a good deal, then sell it and buy a 83-85 200x roller, maybe for less than you paid for the r. You're motor will bolt right up to it, but you'll have to do some mods to make the brakes work right.

86/87 can barely compare to the the 85/86 R (nor the rear suspension of the 83/84) in the suspension department......or anything else for that matter.
