Going to start a thread about the 73 that I just got. Figured I would start this so I can keep myself on track and so I can get help, and advise when it is needed. I have always liked the 73 and 74's. Parts are obviously a little more difficult to find but oh well. The plan right now is to get a roller built. Pretty much building 3 at the same time so motors will come down the road.

Here it is the way I got it.

Here it is at the moment. Tore down and ready to be stretched and powdercoated.

I have seen the repo orange and red fenders for these. Does anyone make a set of fiberglass ones? I would like to make it a different color. Also I thought I found a seatpan but it fell through. Is anyone making them?

Good to see you getting started on her, I am very jealous now,,,,,

What color do you have in mind for it?

Tracked down a set of glass fenders for it.. I am going back and forth on the color. I wanted to do gray plastics with a heavy flake and I am still unsure about the frame color.

FINALLY SOME PROGRESS!!! Frame is a little longer now. All the better to fit the power this little guy deserves.

I have a few parts on order. But I am trying to figure out what motor to run. I haven't had the time to even really sit down and think about it much. I am also building the other 2 for my kids and they have a higher priority than the 73.. I am a recruiter for the Marine Corps and this week has been PAINFUL.. We lost 2 of the 4 recruiters in my area so I have put in 90 hours and close to 1000 miles on my car. Wish I got paid overtime. All 3 of them would be done by now.. LOL.. I am leaning towards the piranah 150 e start. Also going to do a foot brake. I love the look of the 73-74 but man they are pricey! All worth it though..

You will like the piranha engines. They are reliable unlike some of the other junk people put in their 70s
