my CHEAP 250r runs!!! but it bogs, help?

today i bought a complete 84 250r, 84 250r rolling chassis, and a 250r bottom end for the total of $250! it looked rough but complete minus brakes. well tonight i cleaned the carb and put in some fresh gas. i tried to kick it over but it would not fire. next i tied a rope to it and truck. in 20 feet it rired right up and runs great. it idles smooth but boggs bad when i try to get into it. I HAVE TO GET BRAKES!!!!! yikes!

That`s not really in that bad of shape at all for the money. Thoes are some tiny back tires on there. As far as how it is running try playing with the jets on the carb and see if you can get more power out of it. If not you might have to take the carb off and clean it out. Old gas sitting in them gums them right up.

i mixed it 20:1 as the manual said to do. next time i think i will run it a little richer. i cant find the link you mentioned but i would like to read it. please post it if anyone finds it.

yea, i had it backwards. right nowas stated in my other post i am running rich on fuel and trying to figure it all out. time will tell :rolleyes:
