Two stroke engine prob.

I just got a 81-85 yamaha IT465 dirtbike from a friend for free about a week ago and I've got it all back together and got the motor to start once I imidiatly killed it cuz it had no muffler on it yet. Anyways I can't get it to start again? I have spark at the plug and when I kick it over it will shoot a flame out the head, still has no pipe, It has fuel, and it's a CDI so what else am I over looking? I've tried pull starting it but the clutch plates has a bunch of $hit in then so I don't have complete lockup to the tire. Any help is greatly valued!

It would be alot easier to get it to run with some back pressure I.E. pipe. Infact I don't believe I would be trying to start it without one, just my opinion though!
