I've not received any , but I do tech support for a company with about 800 remote users and quite a few have picked up a version of the Klez iWorm. There is a tool from Symantec that locates and gets rid of it. It is an email virus that can be executed just by viewing message in Outlook, it doesnt have to be opened to execute, just viewed in the "view pane" Here's a link for the tool and others: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/tools.list.html

Download it and run it and it should take care of any of the 4 that are listed. Best way to keep stuff out is running updates for Antivirus programs, Once theyre in , you're in a bad way.

Some times it's just a script error.
I open them to see if my
virus scan is working and
there is no virus.:( :D :headbang:

I've received that Klez iWorm virus at least 5 times in the past week. My software seems to catch it though. I'm gonna follow 350xhilaration's link to make sure I don't have it.

250sx, are you getting the same?

I received one on about May 5th. Norton caught it and I deleted it. For some strange reason lately, I have been sent this virus, and an extraordinary amount of porn offers, which I do not frequent. I just block the senders address, and delete the mail. I have two email addresses, and I am getting it from both of them for some reason. Thank God for Nortons, it probably saved my hard drive. best -

I had gotten that virus about 2 weeks ago. It`s a nasty one. My wife got it two day`s ago. And i have had a bunch of call`s on it in the last couple of week. And two service call`s yesturday to repair damage from it. There seem`s to be a heck of a outbreak of it lately. There all a version of the w32 sircam virus.

Had the Klez on a PC I was working on last week, Mcafee didn't find it even with the latest dats. Symantec cleaner was the only one that worked for me. It was a mean one, locked up EXE's as you used them and then deleted EXE file. Happened to me with regedit, plus setup.exe for latest Mcafee (4.5.1)

Some people got nothing better to do with their time. :nono: :loser:

I recieve about 5-10 emails a week all with no text in their message and all with a 125K or so attachment. I just delete it.

I use netscape mail. I keep getting every few days a blank message with no attachment (doesn't show up as one but there is a 135k attachment hidden in there) but my virus scan says it's a virus. I just delete it. It says it comes from dsdale@danieldale.com to webmaster@3wheeler.org or vice versa.
