if you read about the 430 you will see its based on a 8mm stroker crank.... so far on all the 250r fourms i am on,,, i have not heard anyone say much except a few negitive comments about stroking a 250r to 8mm,,,,

What would you recommend for a woods bike as far as engine work / setup ?

I dont personally have experience with any of the ESR bigger motors but I am in the market for one in the next 6 months. I was looking at the 330's they sell as bolt on's but I have seen mixed reviews about going with the PV set ups. Either way, just posting to see about what feedback you get :D

Richard is right. Why would you even consider a long stroke for dirt ? A 330 would work just fine for you. The long stroke would be helpful for sand and drags, NOT dirt
