That varies a lot from engine to engine depending on what mods have been done.
The best way to figure it out for your machine is to read the plugs. I run my two strokes with as much oil as they can take before fouling out plugs. It makes more smoke and leaves more residue in the pipe but it is a lot cheaper then replacing exspensive engine parts.

ok, thanks fuzzy, I am planning ESR ATC5 pipe, and 36mm round slide carb, reckon I'll just see how things come out.

20:1 is stamped on all the frames because in the day, oil was not as advanced as it was now, and I figure they were telling people to mix it heavy because they knew lots of people would be running cheap weedwhacker oil etc...With todays better oils such as maxima, or klotz or something similar, 32:1 or even 40:1 shouldn't be a problem assuming the bike is jetted properly!!!

I noticed the 20:1 sticker on my frame as well.......I thought the recommended was 32:1 form Honda. I plan on running 32:1.

actualy, if you use quality synthitic oils you can run 60:1 with no problems.

The better synthetics can be ran @ 100:1. I run Bel Ray HR-q @ 50:1 (what the bottle says) with no problems. If you are jetted properly then you could run just about any ratio you wanted.
Remember. when adjusting the premix ratio you have to adjust jetting too because the more oil you add the leaner (and hotter) your motor will run.

Running a premix "richer", like 20:1 vs. 50:1 actually leans out the air/fuel ratio because there is a smaller amount of gas going through the jet. There is more oil to fuel in that portion of gas which means less gas for the air to mix with.
