I've been on alot of board that require you to register either to post a reply or some require it to just view the board.

i woulda said no, but registering is not a pain in the ass, but if you were to make it so that everyone had to be registered, just to see the boards, or to reply, and see how smart all of you guys are, then he would just pass by this site and 3wheeler.org might lose someone who could make this site even better than it is, (by the way i think it is the best site on the net.)

I agree with MWKE too! It is a pain to regester for a board just to see if it is something you like enough to go back too.

Dammit!

I say open to all ...no registration for anything...viewing or posting.

If they like the site, they'll register. If you strongarm them into registering to view or post, it turns people off IMO.

i think anyone should be able to view but you have to register to post, simply because if it's all open and anyone can post without joining then your going to get flooded with post's like this....

" why dont you queers get a clue and sell of that junk you call a bike and buy a quad, yadda yadda...blah, blah,..." posted by guest user on 4-2-05 at 5:23 a.m. at least now you know somebody realy must wanna start **** if they felt so compelled to join just to do it...plus i figure if i had to join to call you guy's queer then everyone else should have to...lmao j/k

I've seen both sides of guests, there are some real "winners" like that guy and then there are some very polite folks that like to lurk without joining.

I've sent links to my buddies for some of the hilarious stuff that goes on here and they couldn't view the posts because they werent registered. Kinda sucks.

At the very least, make it open to view and registered users can post.

Dammit!

Same here. It would be nice if non-registered people could see pics too. I can't see the images people post when I check it out from work because I can't login there.

I do not mind the lurkers, but guests should not be able to post. I think a guest should be able to see all the posts, except the fight club. That is just so someone does not complain. If they have registered, then it is assumed that they have read the rules and understand what the fight club is about.

cool thing is if someone has a problem with what's said in the fight club they can't complain cause they cant post... and if they register to post then they have agreed to the rules of the forum so they cant complain anyway...it's brilliant i tell ya...lmao

I agree with ATCnut, I lurked for a long time before joining. If people can come in and look around they are more likely to join. If they really want to post something its not that hard to register.

I think everyone should have to pass a grammar and spelling test before being able to register. They also have to know the difference between: "there, they're and their". ;)

Seriously though. I think anyone should be able to view the board, but you have to register to post. Some people like to get a "feel" for a place before they register. I think we turn a lot of people away because they have to reigster before they even view.

Allowing anyone to post without registering would create quite a mess.
