Out for an exploratory ride today with a couple of budies, a mostly boggy pole line with some dry rocky sections. I was jumping over a little hole and didn't see a rock on the other side. I hit it square!
The inner fork tube bent on one side. Not back too far to ride it home but way to bad to think about leaving it. Iknew the steering stem bearings needed to be done but this may add a few bucks to the repair. I have another fork but I would want to get the kits to rebuild them. What a drag.. A few more weeks without a ride.

most dealerships can straighten forks if they are not to terrible bent and they dont charge a whole lot If I remeber right it was 20 bucks to straighten both of my suzy forks a couple of years back

Kasey has done this before. I didn't think you could, but if it's not too bad you can. hang in there!

Had another look at it today and found the the bottem crown is also bent. The tube isn't bent too bad but I might aswell use the crown and fork off the parts rig... at this pace my parts rig is going to soon run out of parts!!! :chuckle:

I was planning to use the fork from the parts rig but when I got I off last week I found it was bigger than mine???? I had to switch crowns or drop the fork off to be fixed. I thought the bottom crown was bent on mine but I was just dazzled by the bent fork I guess. That night my brother-in-law stopped over and picked it up. His family owns a machine shop, we have a good deal going, I fix his computers and he fixes my machines. Got it back Friday night and set it up Saturday morning. He said the best he could do was 95% but it looked perfect to me. I just installed it 45* of the original setup so the bend was pointing to the right vrs front or back. Went for a great run Sunday, no problems except the bearings may have to be done in the crown.
On to ride another day! :headbang:
