on a 110 I had a good/bad gas flow coming out of the float while the machine was off so I tore the carb apart and sure enough junk in it. The Part where the fuel first enters the carb, after the shutoff was plugged up, into where float thingy goes. I cleaned it out pretty good. Put it back together and checked the float to see if it works. It does but it seems to not accept as much air as when it is apart. My question is it supposed to flow freely from this point into bowl or is it a slow trinkle. I am worried I did not clean it enough. When the bowl is off I can push compressed air thru nice and smooth. When it is put back together the air doesnt want to go thru as well. Is this normal thx Jen

Thats normal Jenn. When the bowl is off you have a wide open airflow. But when you put the bowl back on you have to force the air through the small little jet openings. And they are just designed to sip a little gas and atomize it with the air to burn. Thus a lot more restriction. So it sounds fine to me.

Thx Fuzzy, I wasnt sure. It didnt seem right to me. Might been the reason the little guy was so cold blooded too. I want to take it up to the snow for the kids to play. But as usual had to fix it first. Gettin real tired of that.
Put a inline filter. and did you check the vent at the top of float bowl to see if it is open.

Yes every thing is cleaned out now and put back together. He purrs very nice.... starts right up with choke, And I can start it myself. Before I needed The hubby to start it cause it was so cold blooded but that isnt an isssue anymore. Dads there is a filter right at the shut-off before the gas goes into the bowl itself is this what you are talkin about? I think I need to replace the shutoff because it doesnt stop gas from flowing like it should but the float is fixed so that should do till i can replace the shutoff. The tank itself needs to be cleaned out and creamed but that is for a later date. Again thx Jen
 Yes thats the filter i was talking about. after shut off, before carb. if you have a kind of rusty tank with some crap in the bottom you should change filters at least once a year.
