I just got a 1980 tri moto 125 for $250. It runs great but I think it needs a carb rebuild or cleaning because in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, if you punch it, it doesn't get going. It kinda just boggs out a little but still drives. Am I correct? How much will a rebuild cost for one of these? Thanks! Picture to come soon!

try www.atvparts.com and click on the carb rebuild section.

you'll probably need to call. most places don't list the trike parts in the catalogs or online that they can actually get hold of. good luck!

You might not even need a carb kit it might just be out of adjustment. Have you tried turning your idle mixture jet out a little bit?. Also you could try moving the clip on your needle jet down one notch. It sounds like it is not getting enough fuel. So try adjusting it first. And if that dosnt help then maybe something is plugged in the carb. And you should take it apart and clean it out.

Also you might want to try your yamaha dealer for parts. Chances are they still use that style carb on some of there other machines and might carry kits on hand for it. other wise try www.denniskirk.com they might have one for it also.
