they came with 260's and then a 289. mine now has a 10.5:1 347 stroker with brodic track 1 heads, .564 int .574 exh cam, 1.72 roller rockers, gary williams 740 DP carb, vic jr intake, msd ignition, built c4, 3800 stall, and nitrous is on the way. HELL NO, THAT IS NO CHUBBY 350!! :bash:

dude I aint being a dick or nothing but I say thats a Edelbrock intake and whats with the cheap HEI MSD? It isnt even finished yet:wtf: I was checking out the other pictures and the valve covers, and dist. were diffrent from what the pictures you posted have, now come on what are you doing to that poor thing

No wires or throttle linkage? what about the radiator hoses, and whats with all the loose wires all over the place:doh: the dash and wiring harness inside is all torn apart whats with that? I sure hope that you don't plan on driving that around town w/o a fan :shocked: :confused: so really what are you gonna do with that old thing?

IT IS NOT FINISHED YET, DICKHEAD :salute: there is nothing cheap on there and it is a race car, not a grocery getter. i tell you what i will race any trike you think you can get your hands on in the 1/4 and i will give you the go!!:cool: and you are RIGHT, that is an edelbrock intake. to be specific it is an edelbrock vic jr intake ported and polished to matched the heads wich are ported and polished. the heads are also shaved to 64cc and the intake valves were cut to 2.02". the fan is an electric pusher fan that is not in any of these pics. liek i said, do ya wanna race??? ;)

BTW the engines are different because i swapped the 289 in the top pics for the 347 in the lower pics. everything on the trailer and down is of the new re-birth.

I have done my fair share or resto's and rebuilds in my backyard so I know quite abit about this stuff, your just a newbie kissing a$$:D ;)

i found it in a junkyard in hawaii. i was stationed there for four years while in the navy. it should run low 10' to high 9's depending on how much nitrous i put to it. it was scary with the 289 i boult the first time around. many mustangs and camaros fell victim to it. it is just so lite that it has to be fast. :)

dude that aint no ford power under the hood. i gotta agree, thats a chevy motor, its not right to take a ford powered car and put a piece of chevy in it. U know why peps do that, because chevy is so cheap. I just about gag when i see some awsome looking ford with chevy drive train. its just not right. anybody with any motor sence about them can make a chevy run cheap, a guy has to put to much work and enginuity into a ford, its just down right lazy to do it.

And u know what I gotta hand it to you chevy guys, those motors are full of potiencial, easy to build, lotta parts available, everybody has one ( everybody has 4 wheelers too ;) but u know can't any body say any piece of chevy looked better than the ford in the same class sitting next to it. Come on 69 camaro or 69 mustang, which looked better. 79 ford truck, 79 chevy truck whick LOOKED the best. Them pieces of chevy have never had the looks of the ford, and u bet when ford put there best out there, on the track, such as ur sunbeam was built for, it was awsome.

A 289 in that would have been the best. the 289 is a great motor. think of a little 2 stroker trike, high reving, that 289 will give u the rpms u need, dude chevys can take the revs that fords can, and in revs is where the power is.

but anyway, looks like a fun car and i'm sure it'll be quick, if I could I'd like to be the one to finish it. Thats what I do I paint cars, and nothing i love better than putting a kick ass paint job on a old car, chevy, ford, japan, what ever the old ones are why I do this job.:headbang:
