keihin flat slide users, i need help

i have a 34 mm flat slide carb from a 86 trx 250 that i want to use. the only problem is that the choke valve is flat on the end. i thought it should have a needle valve so i could adjust the idle.

BTW if it should have a needle valve on the end does anoy one have a spare to sell?

There should be an idle adjust screw on the side of the carb that faces out ( to the left if you are sitting on it )......:shrug:
