Ok. We all know Service Honda is the best place to get Honda parts, but what about Yamaha? Is there a Service Yamaha, or something like that?

Thanks,

I've been getting my parts at Parkeryamaha.com they have decent prices and usually ship real fast.

Ok thanks, I'll check it out. Anyone have any other good places for Yamaha (OEM) parts?

I get mine from the yamaha dealer in Winona, MN. They usually beat any price from Dennis Kirk, and they pay shipping, I just pick it up.

Excellent. After working with the Honda dealer in Tampa, I've learned to stay away from them and dealers in general. But I called a few local Yamaha dealers and their prices seem fair, unlike the Honda dealer. Then again, I'm getting parts for a Blaster and not a 16 year old 200X (one of my trikes). So maybe the parts are just priced differently because of availability (or the Honda dealer in town just sucks?)

I have both a yamaha and a honda, and have found that the yamaha dealer prices are far more reasonable then the honda dealer.. The honda dealers around here are rip offs.... They wanted $35 for a 200x carb. rebuild kit (moose), the same one is in the dennis kirk catalog for $15, the same brand. I wont even start on the $55 for a cam chain......:booty: :yup:

It has been my experience that oem parts direct from Honda are substantially more than Yamaha parts. Almost laughable. I have a very close friend who owns a large dealership and sells both Yamaha and Honda and he has told me the same. Honda parts are outrageous. As far as oem parts, I don't believe Dennis Kirk sells any. They are primarily an aftermarket parts dealer with a very few exceptions.

I havent found any place other than a Yamaha delership to buy OEM parts, although they do price diffrently at diffrent dealerships so check them out before you just buy something.

I noticed that. A brake cable varied by $4 between two different dealers in town. You always have to shop around.

OK, here's a good place. They're the largest warehouse west of the mississippi. They offer 19% off all Yamaha acc., parts are discounted 10% to 15% also. I live in N.C. and they're in Texas and I still save a bundle even after shipping cost. Toll Free 1-800-926-2420 Yamaha Sports Center or www.yamaha sportscenter.com, tell them you're a member of this web site and we can get extra discounts. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
