Cat,
Your right about the helmets, but here is my feeling on the subject, the kids always were helmets when their machines are running, for me I wear one 98% of the time but I guess I'm old enough to know what the outcome could be and young enough to still think I am invincible!!! Personally I will try to do better but as for others their life is their life.

its definately your choice to wear a helmet on private land...but i gotta agree w/ the others, not wearing a helmet is definately not a good idea...all its gunna take is one nasty fall for you to wish you were wearing a helmet

Jeroboam7 thems some nice lookin rides looks like you got a killer ridin spot too. wish they would have made atv's when I was that age.
private ground ... public no diff its my gourd and after 30+ years on and off road I'll wear a brain bucket as I please and would hope others would do the same and not worry about someone elses biz, for to do otherwise would make me think that the person attempting to do so would not even begin to understand the full scope of riding on or off road.

Whoa, sorry Jeroboam!!! I guess I opened an ugly can of worms there. I honestly feel bad, AND, I do agree with you on it being personal choice when you are of age. I mean, look at seat belts. When they made it law up here to wear them, I was so p!ssed!! I still only wear mine when I see a cop, but, I did get used to wearing one on heavy equipment. However, car seats make sense for kids. So, it really boils down to personal choice and common sense. I never USED to wear a helmut, like you I was invincable. Then I saw others having their simple melons saved here and there, and I thought, well, maybe its not a bad idea. Now I feel naked with out it!! I guess it is my age creeping in!! :fire: getting older. So, in conclusion, sorry for even bringing it up!! Just, take care.......:)

Don't worry about it Cat, after 28 years of doing this of which 20 were with out safety equipment I can honestly say I'm gald for the education and safety equipment coming down the line now, and I am getting to the point were I have it on almost all the time but ocassionaly I slip. Oh and by the way the fella on the 250r is my friend and nephew and I still believe that its his choice to were the helmet or not.

Hey man, nice shots and nice bike, I do have one question... What size/type are the rear rims and tires? I like the look and I think that it may find it's way onto my project R..
Jeroboam7
05-20-2002, 01:40 PM
The tires and rims are the same on both trikes 20" Maxxis Razors on 9" Douglas .190 rims. Or I also have 20" GBS sand sharks on 10" Douglas .160 rims, or Goodyear Rawhide III's on stock rims.

i'm sure those where posing shots! I never wear my seat belt but I dont go to the store with my kids unbuckled. I wear my helmet, 98% of the time too. I don't know if it'll save my life, but for my kids sake i'll give it a try. Don't get down dude, they was posing shots, I bet ur boy got a kick ass helmet!
