Can anyone tell me how I can make sure my clutch is o.k. without it running. If i have it in neutral, not running should I be able to pull back clutch lever, shift into first, and while bike is in gear with lever pulled back is it supposed to roll freely ,because it don't.As in a car in neutral, when you push down on the clutch if it is in gear it will roll.I just didn't want to find out clutch is inoperable while I'm trying to stop it.

it is hard to shift without the enige running. you have rock it back and forth to line up the teeth. in gear with the clutch pulled you will still have some resistance. that is normal. the clutch is not a big issue with these. how come you are not riding it?
