Hey Dan, I was wondering how the Tecate carb was working for you? I worked on my T3 for a while today. I looked at the difference between the stock reed cage and the V-Force Delta cage. The V-Force is about 3 times thicker then the stock cage. I put a stock airbox back on w/ my 85 modified carb w/ a new boot and the V-Force, it all bolted up w/o a problem.
Mine is almost ready. It has fresh paint, the motor is in, the carb and airbox is on. All I have left to do is put the swingarm barrings in and put it on w/ the carrior, bleed the rear brakes, paint the skid plates and put the new plastic and tank cover on. I have a few picts to send you soon and then a finished pict after that.

hey doyou have any pics of that thing? I'm bidding on a spacer now so I'm gonna try that first. how much did the v-force cost?

I got it all cobbled back together last weekdend and hosed it down w/ carb cleaner. the engine didn't miss a bit so I guess that means it is all sealed up for the present. I'm going to finish breaking the engine in when I am finally out of school for the summer on the 28th.

I also have an '85 carb coming from ebay that I'm going to test. I have a 38mm SOMEWHERE if all else fails.

I saw the spacers on ebay, I was going to bid but i figured you would be and i didn't want to drive the price up. I can try to get a pict of it tomarrow. The V-Force is expensive. It cost over $100. It should give me even more power!!! The stock cage is like 1/8 thick and the V-Force is almost 3/8in thick.

I'll LET YOU KNOW

thanks I appreciate that. the spacer is 5/16" so it might be just enough. :lala:
