it finally runs

Not that anybody cares, but I finally got my 86 r running. I bought it off a guy from work who blew the motor up and was sick of spending money on it.Now the motor is fresh, new case halfs, rod, all bearings in motor and on bike, and a re-sleeved cylinder. Needs plastic yet, good winter project for me. I fired it up last night, and it goes like hell. Should be good racing between my cousin with a 350x, and my uncle and brother with 200x's, but I have a feeling they won't stand a chance, this thing is fast. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it since I look at this site often and it has been a great resource for me.

I care!! That is great!! You are right about the 350X and 200X being no competion!! I just rode with a new 400EX last night and smoked him so bad I was embarrased for him!! I rode with a 350X, 250R quad, and 350 Banshee last week, and the only one that could definatly take me was the Banshee, and it has about $2000.00 worth of mods on it. The only mods I have at this time are Boyesen 2 stage reeds and a K@N air filter!! 250Rs RULE!!:headbang:
