I have an '84 200s and it seems to get flooded fast when i try and start it. My friend said maybe the float is broken. How would i know? and is there anyway i caould adjust it or something? Also, what i do is after i worked on trying to start it was put a tube on some sorta intake (near where the gas tube is) and blow through it, then gas pours out into the airbox and drains out the bottom. I do this with the gas switch off so that more gas isnt sucked in. So it think there has to be a problem. Also there is another intake on the very bottom of the carb that i put the tube on also and does the same thing. I was thinking that maybe it was to put liquid in to clean the carb and drain it out the bottom. Well any info. on this problem or info about my carb (22 mm Keihin)would be appreciated. Does anyone know a site or know what all the intakes, and screws are for? Thanks.

the two intakes you are taliking about well those arent intakes. the one on the top by the fuel hoze is a vent. the one on the bottom of the bowl is an overflow/drain. gas shouldent come out of those snd the gas line shouldent be on eather of those. make sure it is on the barb that sticks straight up. and you might want to tru taking the carb off and just cleaning her good maby even a new fuel inlet needle wouldent hurt. this is a recomondation to both of you with the carb problem.

The intake near the gas line is an air vent, the one on the bottom of the carb. is an overflow and a drain for the float bowl. Check out the topic, about, something like gas is still poring out or something like that, I put an easy way to tell if the float is misadjusted in there.... Hope it helps...
Does it start at all?? When it does, if it does, does it idle high??
