I went from 22x11-9 to 20x11-9 on my 350X. The difference was noticable. I went from the stock 13 tooth countersprocket to a 14 tooth, and I feel that gearing wise I am back where I started. I made the change because I really like the 20" OHTSU radial tire, not to make a gearing change

so r u suggesting that if there is a difference i should consider a sprocket change?

I am saying that if with the new tires you do not like the gearing, you can make a sprocket change to compensate. Just noticed that you are working on a 200s, I think they have the front sprocket intergrated with the shaft. You can also change rear sprockets, and you can make smaller adjustments.

When changing to smaller tires on a unsuspended trike, watch out for making the ride harder. All you have in the back for suspension is the tires, if you make them smaller (or stiffer) you will have a harsher ride.

it will give you a little slower take off and and a cuple more mph to your top speed.

I replaced the front sprocket with a 13 tooth once because it's all the dealer had on hand. I thought it would give me better top-end, which it did (downhill,) but the main difference I noticed was a loss of power in just about every gear. On even the slightest uphill grades, I had to downshift to keep the engine from bogging down when running wide open in fifth gear. I would think that a larger tire would have the same effect, though I doubt it would be as big a change.
