350x engine question

Is there a difference between the 85 and 86 350x engines? Will the 86 engine bolt into an 85 frame? Thanks

they're basically the same & interchangeable.

The biggest differences I know of between the two are the cam chain tensioners were set up different, and the clutch cable routing is different. So if you have a '85 and you get a '86 motor your going to need a '86 clutch cable. The 85's go on the right side of the cyclinder under the head pipes, the '86's go through the oil cooler guard, on the left side of the cyclinder, then behind the cyclinder over to the pertch.
