Ok, I got the beast runnig again. I cleaned out the carb jets etc that were all plugged up. Now I am having idle problems and I am still running rich. It idles ok when the motor is cold but stalls when its warmed up. The air fuel screw on the bottom is only out about 1/2 turn. I will not idle in any other position. When I try and increase the idle speed screw it makes the throttle stick at to high of a rpm. So where do I go with this? Thanks!

OK OK I'll try factory settings jet around 2 & 1/4 turns out , needle on shutal, clip in sec. grove from top can be in first but its not fac. put clear line on drain of carb, holed line up a long side of carb , open drain, fuel will go up line to flot shut down piont so you will see if its to high. Idle should be ajusted by giving it a little open throughtal, or screw may bined on shuttle. check all this and we will have a starting piont.

Yep i agree. Turn your bottom jet out at least 2 turns. And use the air idle srew on the side of the carb to turn down the idle speed. And if it is still running to rich. Take the top of your carb off(where the throttle cable hooks to it) And take the clip off of your needle jet and move it up one notch to make it leaner.

Ok, thanks for the ideas. I will give them a shot and see if this makes a difference. The biggest problem I can see is going to be getting it to run at all with the mixture screw out 2 full turns! The furthest I can get it out is 1/3 and it flat stalls.
