Well, anyone interested in the high point of my day? Being the anal perfectionist that I am, my 200X has been driving me crazy by not running. I thought that it was the fuel system, then I thought that it was electrical, then I thought that I screwed it up when I adjusted the valves and on and on.

I took my beloved new 82 model 200 and put her in my storage facility today, a heart breaker for sure. I came home and started looking at the 200X, took of the gas tank and seat and noticed what I thought was the problem, the fuel line from the tank to the carb had a leak and I figured that it was just sucking air at that point. I took off the breather hose and squirted a little starting fluid in her and started kicking the kick start. In just a moment, she roared to life. Facing the rear of the bike and kicking it like a motorcycle sure is the best way to do it.

Here is the tech tip of the day, when you need to put gas in the carbeurator, and the breather hose and tank are off, get an old windex or other spray bottle, put gas in it and, voila! You can squirt gas into the carbeurator at will, and she will idle on and on. So, I hit it again with starting fluid, she fired up, and I kept hitting the carb with the spray bottle of gas, and she kept running. I never could get her to idle, probably something to do with the crazy fuel mixture that she was getting. Now, lets get the new fuel line, with the inline filter, and put her back together.

AAhhhhhh, what a nice way to end a great day. BTW, the real best part of my day was spent laying in the yard, flat on my back, and looking up at the sky with my 7 year old son, just watching the clouds go by.
