My 110 Needs a rebore, I have taken the engine out and got the head off the engine but the barrel won't come off, I've tried hitting it with nylon hammers and I've tried prying it away with a prybar, this had the lamentable result of snapping off a fin.

Anyone have any tips for getting the barrel off? do you have to loosen the crankcase bolts or somthing like that or are there weasel bolts that I havn't spotted?

Thanks

I dont know if it is anything like the 200 engines. But they have a bolt in the side of the head for the upper part of the chain adjuster. So you might want to remove any bolts you see until you can get it loose.

You might also want to look at www.partsfish.com and look at a diagram of the cylinder and see if there is anything you are overlooking.

We managed to remove it at last, it seems it was just stuck on to the studs with rust. The piston looks a bit scored but that doesn't matter, I've reground the valves as they were leaking real bad and i'm taking the barrel to be rebored this week.
Hopefully it'll be a bit less gutless and should do more than 10 miles to a spark plug!

The piston was pretty bad! the bore is ok though.
It wasn't me that ran it without oil! the previous owner was a farmer.
