Hi, How can I tell which year my 250r actually is?

Another problem with it is, this bike isn't run too often. When it is it has a dead spot mid throttle when running down the road. Any in particular to look for? I would like to get it fixed up and ready for the dunes before it gets too hot here in the SouthWest.

There should be a id tag on the sterring stem that says the year and model. Othewise is it water or air cooled?. That would help narrow it down.

And the flat spot sounds like the carb needs to be adjusted. Your low jet is proable not set correctly.

Mine used to have a flat spot at about 1/3 throttle. A different needle(taper) fixed it.
