I picked this up a month a go , in MA nere boston on the beach,
frame was rotted out. I spraded the eng. with "Chesterton 723 sprasolvo penetrating oil . It said for deep penetration wate a min. , SO a month later time to degrease and see if i have a can of warms or not. ( it set on the beach 4 years, in new england things grow on things on the cost. ate through some of the paint.http://adam.cheshire.net/~dads/pic/eng.JPG
I will add more on what i found tonight, have to finish pulling a john deer tractor eng. to rebuild.  :bash: :wtf:
First look -- side covers had been opened before, reveres helper lever does not work, two bolts missing left cover. After pulling covers , the two bolt holes , one i could tap out the threads & the other i have room to drill a half inch + deeper. not to bad so fare. On the reveres lock out lever they moved the spacer clip so they could slip the lever out past the cam so you could put it into reveres. eazy fix looking better. Looked at oil pickup screen it was clean no metal and none in the slug in the bottom of eng. It needs a new clutch pack, three cover shaft seals. Well just have too put it to gether and a little spot sand blasting some paint , Then run it to see if i have to replace any thing more. So bye the looks I'm not a :loser: on this one:thumbsup:
