Hello my name is Randy Wilcox aka The Rocketman. Saturday morning my 85 350x was stolen. Me and a group of friends were on are way up to Canada for a bear hunt. We stopped for the night at a motel in Port Hope Ontario, exit 464 on the 401. Woke up the next morning and the truck with the trailer and all the atvs was gone. The truck and trialer were later recovered in Niagra Falls, but all four atvs were gone. I still don't know how to put it all into words, the feeling of being a 1000 miles from home and waking up to find your vehicle and stuff gone. Insurance will take care of most of the things, but I don't know about my Beast. I have had it since 1986 and I have no idea how the insurance company is going to handle it. The other guys had newer 4x4 quads, those can easily be replaced. Any way the vin number on the frame is JH3TE0801FM007143. My only hope is they break there leg trying to start it, and if they do start it they wreck it and total it and themselves.

SORRY TO HEAR IT!! If they took the truck to its prob not just a bunch of kids. Start getting the Buffalo swap sheet and id call all the local salvage yards, and atv salvage yards to in case they show up. Was there and leads fron the cops?? There is a few guys here from Buffalo NY i hope they watch out for them. If they end up in Syracuse for sale I will watch for them. If you can give a complete list of the quads, and a good discription of the 350x.
GOOD LUCK

Was the stuff found in Niagara Falls Ont. or NY? I live in Buffalo, I'll keep an eye on the swap sheet and the Buffalo News, if I get a chance, I'll try to get out and look at any 350x's I see in either. I know how it feels to be ripped off, I've had my car stereo equipment stolen twice, and I have a thousand dollar alarm system, and over 4 thousand worth of stereo stuff... I hate thieves, everyone wants what youve got, but dont want to work for it.......

It is a 85 in pretty good shape. Has all the original red plastic. Only one small crack in the rear finders, down on the right side by the kick strater. Has a new red Clarke gas tank with original Honda wing decals on it. A Cobra aluminum megaphone exhaust system. A home made rack on the back(it has a fresh coat of black pain ot it) New knobby front tire, older set of Striker rear tires on it. An aftermarket aluminum swing arm skid plate. No parking brake cable, aftermarket handle bars that have a cross brace with a pad on it. It's got a K&N air filter on it, air box has three holes drilled in the lid.
The three four wheelers were all Polaris 500 4x4's one red, one green one cammo. All had wenches on the front.
The truck and trailer were found at a truck stop some where around Niagara Falls Canada, didn't cross the boarder with it.
Any help finding it would be greatly apriceated.

That really sucks. Nothing ticks me off more then people stealing other peoples stuff. But i guess on a good note. If they drove it that far. They were probable not any local chop shop. Maybe they were just looking for a ride home themselves. My dad had his car stolen outside of a store. He left it running and ran in for a minute. And when he came out it was gone. The cops found it a couple days later 125 miles away. It was still in great shape. Someone took it because they needed to get home. And after they got there they just left it. So we got it back with no damage at all. So i hope you will get yours back the same way. And it sounds like you added enough things to yours to make it one of a kind. That should make it a lot easier to find.

I wish I had some pictures of it, I just normaly don't take a lot of pictures of stuff.
Looks like all they were really after was the atvs. They popped the door lock and the ignition lock on the truck, so they knew what they were doing. Guy at the inpound lot where it is said it was drivable all we needed was a screwdriver. We haven't been able to get much more info out of the police up there. Seems today is some sort of a holiday and everything is closed. So we don't know much more.
Yea my X was pretty sweet. Just built a new motor for it, 10.25 compresion piston and a bigger than stock cam. Put a 37 tooth sprocket on the back, it is a screamer

Rocketman,
I am so sorry to hear about this. I keep my chained at both ends, this may stop a snatch and grab type thief, but it will not stop one with a good hack saw. Around here where I live, you have to keep them nailed down.
A friend of our family had one stolen in a home burglary, mostly stuff in the garage. The homeowners insurance replaced it with a six thousand dollar 4 wheeler. I don't know what your case will be, but I certainly hope that your insurance will replace it. I've got to get off of my butt and write the numbers down on mine.
Best, and I hope that your luck changes soon. - Ted

I already checked with my home owners insurance, they will not cover it. I was over a 1000 miles away from home when it happened and it was on someone else truck and trailer. We have started a claim with his insurance, but I haven't heard from them yet so I don't know what they are going to do. I don't know, I've just never had good luck with insurance companys, been screwed by everyone I've had to deal with. I rank them right up there with lawyers. Hope I'm wrong this time.
Any way it goes I'm going to be looking for a 350x to replace mine. So any one got a good deal on one?

Try the link that I have enclosed, put "ATC" in the "KEYWORD" search option. leave rest blank, you will see some very nice 3 wheelers. I look at these all of the time. I see some very, very nice machines. Best - Ted

Dude that sucks so bad! I had a 64 Ford pick up, a 79 4x4 chevy luv, all my tools and and my stereo equipment stolen. I can imagine how u felt seeing all ur **** gone. I came home from work and my front door was laying in the driveway. Most of the tools were my grandpas id inheireted, only things i have left of his are his blow gun and my binks #7 paint gun. At least u had insurance, I didnt have any then, and I'll bet u can end up with a trike better than what u had, just don't give in to the insurance company, find what u want better than what u had and say this is it! I chain my trike to the bed of my truck if I'm out away from home with it, but then that wouldn't have helped me if they took the whole truck and trailer. I try to keep it under a close eye but it goes to show u never know. wish u luck dude
