:bash: ATTENTION ALL TRI Z OWNERS!!!!!,........im sure you've all seen the Yamaha Wrench Report',have any of you actually carried out all the port work yet?or any parts of it?does adding the extra boost port(into right of cylinder)make a noticeable difference?????not too sure about the outcome of port work, but it will be being done by a qualified engineer!!!!

cheers.....................dave.uk:demon: :demon:

Dave empty your Pm folder its full!!!

As you probrably know the Z was not in a great state of tune when it left the yamaha factory and by doing those mods it turns them into a virtual rocketship. I do not have those exact mods, I went with a YZ sleeve and Piston and the 2nd boost port is there and it has been ported and polished, I also run a 38mm mikuni as in the report. Ya it helps alot!

Where would be a good place to port and polish a Tri-Z cylinder and head? I have not seen many places that work on the Tri-Z engine.

hey there ytz250n,

if you goin for the port work, you dont have to find some1 who specailises in tri z's,just make sure u take it to an engineer who you know for sure is good at what he does!!theres plenty about claiming to know, but pork work needs to be bang on for best results!!

good luck..............dave,uk:headbang: :headbang:
p:s,you got pics of your tri z?
