1986 350X timing chain adjustment

Is the timing chain adjustable on an 86 350x or is it totally self adjusting? The way the manual explains it anything after 85 is self adjusting, unless you remove the head..

I have a 85 and really the only way i know to check is to take the head off. or the old screwdriver in sparkplug hole, that tell u if ur even close! remove the two plugs the left side, one will turn motot over the other has a dash in the threads. turn the motor over til u see a dash with a T over it, without taking the head off "feeling" with the screwdriver in the plug socket can give u a pretty good idea.
