Tecate carburator

I have 3 different carbs for my tecate.
1st is the stock 85 carb.
2nd is a kehin carb that was on my 84
3rd is the stock carb for my 88 t4.

Can the tecate 4 carb be put on the 84-85 with good results?
I did not want to put it on cause the bore and stroke are way off.

Any leads?

Yep its a flat side carb.
I just wanted to know if i need to change the jetting or not.

what mods are done to your 85? if you have a pipe and silencer the jetting will probably be close. i think the 88 had a 35 or 36mm mikuni flatslide carb and your 85 had a 34 keihin stock. at worst it might be a little rich. you'll probably pick up some mid and top.

Only mods are aftermarket complete pipe and is bored over 20 I think. the 88 had a 34 abd the 85 had a 32mm.
I just moved the kehin (like the 84 carb) up a notch and shes working great.
Plus im running on a weak spark so I dont want to be a little rich.

But when its fixed would it run better?

(use it for fishing)

85-86 atc-trx
works great kiehin 34mm
jet it about 40 pilot 160 main

I have a kehin carb but I cant tell what size it is. It does fit on my carb flange but im not sure if it is stretched or not.
It look like the stock 85 carb but the choke is a nob you pull up.
im not sure what the jetting is or what size needle it has.
I just want optimum performance.

My plug is not white nore is it getting fouled anymore.

will my t4 carb work?

check the side of the carb (buy the edge of the bowl)
it should tell you some #'s there
like pj34 = pj3
somthing like that
should be good carb
should be same as your t4 carb kiehin carb
try jetting around
pilot=35 to 42
main=155 to 170
needle one clip from the top
should run rea well

so the t4 carb wont work with stock jetting?
