Low Spark???

:( :cry: I just got my odyssey VERY close to running,but there is only one problem.....I'm getting very low spark.I tested the spark and I am getting a spark but I don't think it's not strong enough to start it. Anyone know what to do??? Thanks :cry: :ugh:

Do they have breaker points in them or are they CDI ignitions?.

It usally dosnt take much spark to start a engine. I have had some three wheelers that i would swear didnt have enought spark when i checked them with a new plug. But they ran like a jem.

So first off try a new spark plug and make sure that is fine. Another good test for spark is to add a few drops of gas down the spark plug hole then put the plug back in and try starting it. That can at least tell you weither it is a spark problem or fuel or something else.

You may have to remove the side cover from the engine and check out your stator assemble. It could be rusty from age and need to be cleaned.

You can usally clean them up with very fine sand paper or steel wool.
