Just installed a new DG Krome Power Exhaust system. Checked sparkplug and it was very lean ( light gray ). Had a supertrapp pipe on it before. Does anyone one have an idea on what size of jets I should be running with this?

Stock jet is a 138. Take the one that is in there out, and read the little number on the side. The progression goes 130, 132, 135, 138, 140, 142, 145, 148.

The other thing to keep track of is the altitude you are riding at. I run a 140 in oregon at sea level, a 138 here at home at about 400 ft, a 132 when starting at 2500 ft and going up, and a 130 in Idaho where we start at 5000 ft.

You have the right idea checking the plug. I have a kit with a whole set of jets in it and I keep playing with them untill I am happy

when you check the plug do you just remove it after giving the bike a little hell? and look at the color?

When I do a plug chop. I run it wide open in (usually) 3rd gear for at least 150 yards. Shut off at that point. Stop and pull plug then. Should be dark grey. With unleaded gas now, color changes. White is usually lean.
