i have a 1985 200x frame with a 200s engine and i go through plugs a lot. they always foil out with to much carbon build up on them.
if i am correct that means it is burning really rich i think.
i know there is a couple srews on the outside of the carb i can mess with (the idle screw and the pilot)
the pilot screw is used to adjust you air fuel mixture ...right? if so how much do i turn it in/out to set it to factory specs. i cant find my manual to find this stuff out .any ifo at all would be apreciated.

I believe the general rule of thumb is.......turn it all the way in, then back it out 1.5 turns. You can fine tune it from there. Hope that helps.......:)

find the correct setting for the air screw and then tune with the main jet. there is a tech article on this site you need to read. after you get the air screw correct put a new plug in and do a wide open run. if it is still fouling go down 1-2 sizes on the main jet and do it all over again. the fine tuning article that i read for the air screw says to screw it in until the engin misses, then back out until it misses. then set it right between the two points.
