I yanked the spring and shock of my 250R today. The shock was hooped, and I thought I was too. So I phoned one of the shops I buy parts from, and the owner gave me a cell number for a local guy. I phoned him, and it turns out he rebuilds suspensions and 2 stroke engines!! He said if he has the parts he needs, my shock will be rebuilt over night for around $150.00 Can. What a DEAL!! A NEW shock for this beast is $750.00 U.S. and a rebuild kit from Honda is $750.00 Can.!! (The last time I checked anyway......) He also told me I can get my swingarm extended locally for $200.00 Can.!!!! Total cost......$350.00...:D Needless to say, the shock is already at his shop, with a new progresive spring I purchased last spring. Of course, if he does NOT have the parts he needs, I COULD be waiting 10 days or so for them to come in. The swingarm is gonna have to wait untill I get a new sproket set and chain, but, I am PUMPED!!!:headbang: Oh yeah, and hey.........Is it just me, or does sliding the fork tubes up higher in the clamps bring the front tire in closer to the engine? If so, and it appears it does, I guess that kind of defeats the purpose. I thought if I could lower the front end a bit, I would not have so much trouble climbing.........:headbang:

Thats great Cat. I cant believe how much they charge to rebuild shocks. But getting them both done for $350.00 is awesom. Good luck on them. I hope you dont have to wait the 10 days.:headbang:

I've seen a 350x with the forks reclamped like that and it did nothing to help him keep the front end down.
