Tecate guys, I got a problem, i need some help

I need some help guys. Today I worked on my cluch for a while. I had the cover off 4 times. After a time or 2 i got the cluch figured out, but the kickstarter is now messed up. It is acting like it is stripped. I took out the gears and they all look fine, all the springs are fine, all the gears look fine. I need some advice on what to do or to try next? I know there are a few washers there, take it out or put a 2nd 1 in??? Has anyone had this problem?? I have alot of spare parts so it is easy to play w/ , I am looking for help and ideas.

ok, i had the same problem with mine, does it feel like its stripped, then after a couple of slower kicks it catches? thats what mine did any way. i never figrued out the problem becuase i took it off again cuz i put the wrong plates in, i was installing barnetts, and accidentally put new stockones in, so i was right back in there and the second time i put it together it went away.

yes it feels like it is stripped, go slow and it will catch, but not enuff to start it. I am hoping it will fix it self.
The manual says something about the ratchet gear being timed w/ the tab and the punch, and to turn the shaft all the way clockwize before putting the cover on???????? I will try this tomarrow.????
