but know that i got it i cant get any spark form it at all
the recoil is gone from it and i have been using a drill to turn it over with could that have messed something up on it

and what is that round thing my spark plug wire goes into called i think that might be it cause when i was messing with it the wire came out from the round part and it looks like it shouldnt

thanks for any info

The round part is your coil. If the wire is coming out of it you wount have any spark. Also check to make sure your kill switch isnt off or stuck in the off position.

It must turn over pretty easy if you can turn it over with a drill. Does it seem to have compression?. Or is it maybe flooded out real bad.

Usally if the wire is just coming out of the coil it can be put back in.

I had a coil checked at my Honda dealer by one of their mechanics. And he told me in the years that he has worked on them the coil hardly ever goes bad. So as long as the wire is making contact in there it should be alright.

As far as the switch. You should be able to follow the wires from the kill switch down towards the frame and there should be a disconnect for the wires. Just unplug it. that will eliminate that it is the switch or something in that circute. WARNING!!! if it does start you will have to chock it and flood it out to kill it.

So if you have a Honda dealer near by you could take the coil to him and have it tested to be sure. They usally charge like $5.00 to do it. And they should carry a new one for it also.

But if it ran before you got it home. I would really check everythign over real well and see if something hasnt come unplugged on the machine while loading or unloading it to get it home.

And you had mentioned that the recoil was missing off of it. The stator assemble is still there with the wires coming out of it isnt it?. Are they still plugged in?.

thanks for the info guys

i checked all the wires unpluged the kill switch even took it off and checked inside of it the only wires that were dirty were the ones going in to some little black box next to the coil (i think its some kind of relay or something) it had a bunch og corrosion on the plug i cleaned it the best i could

but what is the stator

i got 3 wires going back in near the were the recoil should be but i cant see what the hook to
i wasnt sure if i should take all that stuff off to see where those wires go

and yes the decompression thingy on the right side of the engine is movable

also when i use the drill to turn it over is there such a thing as turning it to fast also what happens when u turn it backwards

thanks again

That little black box thingy by the coil is your CDI unit. If the connections to it are all corroded, that would explain no spark. The stator is at the end of those three wires that go into the case.

To clean up all the corosion on the CDI unit an the other plug, use a solution of baking soda in water and a little tooth brush. Get it all clean and then dry it out with compressed air.
