has anybody put a 200x carb on a 200s if so how well did it work? did you notice the difference? were you running a 108 jet or 110?

I have one on my 82 it is running the 110 main. You will notice a little more power but it is not a day and night difference. If you get a aftermarket pipe with a larger head pipe for it then it can really breath and you will be able to notice the difference with both of them on there.

But by its self with stock exhaust it isnt going to make a world of difference.

got a 200e and i put a 200x carb and an aftermarket cam.
Unfortunately I never rode the trike before I did the work. Nothing to compare it to.
Plus I just rebuilt from the cyl. up and so I cant get the speed up till i break her in!!!

I'm looking for the screw top for an 84 200M carb -
or just the whole carb . . . ( an M will interchange
with an S , I believe )

ok i made the switch today to the 200x carb on my 200s. I do see a small difference with the 108 jet, but it seems not to be idling correctly. anybody have any ideas. i cleaned the entire carb and put in a new kit. How many turns is the idle screw. Also what position is the ring supposed to be on the center needle.

stock is the 3rd position or right in the middle.
raising the clip on the needle will lean the motor & vice versa.

you probably won't notice a huge difference unless you also have a pipe & better air filter. the 200x cam (or xr200 is even better) should really wake it up.

My 185 had balls but it never really had power out the wazzoo. It was a good trail bike. It had great acceleration.
