Three wheelers are lighter, faster, more agile, better in tight places, cheaper, funner, safer, should i continue.

I think Fuzzy covered it....I've rode a couple 4 wheelers and wasn't impressed. I like the way my 350X handles. As far as I'm concern there's nothing better then a good ATC! Be advised though, there is a bais against trikes. Many of the park areas and rider clubs won't allow 3-wheelers. Left over stigma resulting from the "ban" by uninformed people......

trikes are less stable, but a good rider can compensate for that. the tradeoff is especially worth it in the tight woods trails where space to fit your ride in between solid objects is at a premium.
quads are heavier, slower (cc for cc), and the ain't as pretty. they are better at hillclimbs b/c they have that extra weight keeping the front end down. ;)

i ride 3wheelers b/c they are cheaper, faster and alot more fun...and plus anyone can ride a 4-wheeler, but only the skilled can master a trike...and once mastered you are unstopable (plus i got 2 trikes for free) ;) :D

i happen to own both 3 & 4 wheelers and like both but for differant reasons. when i go to a moto-x track i ride my 4 wheeler ,it's newwer and has works shocks. but if i'm just going out to have fun you can bet it will be on my 3wheeler. they'er just alot of fun. it's just one hell of a rush to pin the gas and blast past a slow a$$ 4x4 4wheeler on a steep hill. etc..etc..i could go on for days about why i like trikes and as long as i can help it there will allways be a couple in my shop.

I should have clarified about the safer part. I didnt mean to imply more stable. Just that when you do take a roll down a hill. Which we all will at some time or another. That i would much rather do it on a 200 pound trike then a 800 pound 4x4 quad. That`s a lot of weight rolling over top of you.

All of what they said but i dont like the tippiness or however you spell it
I prefer them because for starters they are much better looking and they are a blast to ride. My brother has two Kawaski Lakota 300 quads and they are fun (especially to jump since my 200S does not have rear suspension). However, I find quads are more difficult to turn, the front ends always want to push out of the corner (at least with my 250 lbs of fat sitting on the back!). The trikes are great, shift your weight a little, gun the throttle and you are happily sliding your way through turns. I also agree that it is much better to have the lower weight of a trike slam you into the ground than some huge Foreman or Beartracker, rack infested 4X4 quad.

I own both trikes, and quads (4 trikes, 1 quad) I use the quad for work (pulling trees off my lot, pulling trailers, etc). If I wanna have fun, I hop on a trike and let the wheelie contest begin. It is very easy to ride a quad, but a trike is more fun. A trike just takes more practice to find its limitations. My quad has a winch because it is a pig (600 lbs dry). No way your gonna pick that thing out of a mud hole, but a trike can be tossed over just about anything because it ways less than half that of my quad.

It is good to see some realistic conversation here on trikes and quads. It would appear everything has been covered. I agree that trikes are harder, and more rewarding to ride. I ride a 250R because I LOVE the challenge. However, I do plan on getting a Banshee for the bigger engine and extra stability. However, that said, I will also like everyone to know I will NEVER sell my trike, (unless it was to get a nicer trike!!) Trikes RULE!!:headbang:
