battery keeps going flat problem

my battery on my 250 es keeps going flat like the trike isn`t charging it just draining it. when i recharge the battery it a holds a good charge but after running the trike awhile it drains it again .
anybody tell me what causes this, any help appreciated.:confused:

will it start and/or run if you unhook the battery? you're supposed to be able to kickstart it even if the battery is completely dead.

it won`t start on kickstart or button, until i recharge battery, then it runs great when rechared but runs down eventually and stops.

sounds like you need a new stator, or charging regulator.

charging system sounds dead, try cheacking all the wires for a start.

not sure a 250sx has a regulator or not but that happened to me and the guy i bought it from disconnected the positive wire from it and the battery drained. I reconected it and now great. You can check it with an ohmeter. The specs are in the clymer manual.
