Okay i got spark again, i just got back in from a ride, the minute it started it went to high idle but when i put it in gear and start moving it will go down and i can hit the gas and take off but the minute i pull the clutch lever in it goes back up to full idle?? i was even playing around with the idle screw and that didnt help?? ive taken the carb off about three times and cleaned it out real good, so i know its not dirty, i cleaned my air filter, what else could it be, my throttle cable looks and works fine??Any ideas

Thanx

check thge slide to see if it has a burr on it. anything that would keep it from closing all the way. what did you do to your choke? gas and / or air could be getting in through there causing the problem. the reed cage may also have an air leak. i bet the throttle is bound up some how. what was the spark problem?

keep in mind opening (ccw) the idle mixture screw leans out the idle mixture. this would explain your hi idle with the screw all the way out. your effectively letting the motor see the whole diameter of the air bleed screw hole that is drilled on the inlet side and a good indicator of a vaccum leak is a hi idle
