well heres a new thread about timing focused on my 225dx, so does anyone know how to set the timing?

Buy a manual! Its easy. Take off the timing window cover(left side of the motor big flat head screw near where the pull starter mounts). Turn the crankshaft by hand and while looking the hole look for T for Top dead center(That means your piston is at the top of the cylinder). Once you get there take your cam sprocket and match up the line on the sprocket with the notch on the top of the cylinder head. Make sure your chain tensior is off first or you wont be able to put the chain and sprocket on the cam. I hope that helps.

thanks matt! :hail: , then how do i adjust the tensioner once the other stuff is all lined up and what not?
