Oil Discharge

I went riding on the 225DX today. About two hours into riding the engine was getting really hot, so i drove back to my truck and looked at it to see what was going on. When i got to the back of it i noticed it was discharging alot of oil out the pre-filter thats mounted under the the airbox. Anybody got any ideas?

pre-filter ? is this in the vent tube for the crank case. if so look at the rings or head gascket. sonds like compression getting in to the crank case.

Well, i guess not pre-filter, it hangs off the bottom of the airbox. So pretty much the airbox is filling with oil.

does 23 have a line to the crank case?

That goes to the crank case.

then thats how the oil gets in the filter box. bad compression rings or leaking head gasket.
