There should be a number of sites that sell parts for the 84.
www.denniskirk.com sells a lot of stuff for them.

does the dg exhaust give a nice improvement?
what range? low-mid, mid-high???
hey just like that, which reed will be the best for low- to midrange power and maybe improve my torque?
i don't know a lot about reed, i'm new to 2 stroke engine

I got most of the parts for my performance re-build for my '84 250R. They did all the machining (ported & polished the cylinder), and sold me the gasket kit, piston, basically everything but a carb which I later got from carb parts.com
Some have said that CT Racing is pricey but I was quite pleased with their quality and customer service.

my dg seems to give me more low-to-midrange power than topend.

I forgot to mention that since I made the upgrade to the ported and polished cylinder, bored cylinder and larger carb I pretty much have to run racing fuel (100 octane or better) which I mix with MC-1 at 20:1. Of course this has made weekend rinding trips rather pricey (~$5/Gallon!), though when it's running right, it's an awesome ride! Most of my power seems to be in the mid-range.

great so i'll need to buy a dg exhaust this summer.
but i don't have enough cash to ride on race gas, i think i'll burn at least 2 to 3 6us gallon per week lolll.
if i got enough cash this winter i'll try to buy a k&n filter, high comp piston like 10 to 1, upgraded reeds, ported polish head ans maybe a 38mm carb if i got enough cash.
how much did you pay for your carb Kev250R?

two strokes don't use high compression pistons,,,,,,

oh, i tough i would be able to put a high comp piston.
curiously why not?
so i'll need to keep my 6.6 to 1 piston?

I am not a mechanic or tying to answer for Kasey, but you change the compresssion in a 2 stroke by shaving the head or the base of the cylinder(which also changes your port timing).. They also make some heads with interchangable domes to raise or lower your compression...

It's been a while but I want to say my carb cost somewhere around $200 brand-new from carbparts.com I know I still have the invoice so when I get a chance I'll look-up the exact cost and the model number though your appliation may need a diffrent one.
One word of warning though, the ends of the carb won't fit easily into the rubber boots for the air cleaner and the reeds. To make mine fit I had to soak the boots in fairly hot water so they would loosen-up and grow just enough that they would slide over ends of the carb. Not a big deal, just a pain. That and if you go with the same model I have your choke will now be on the oppoiste side of the carb. and trike. Again, not a big deal, just something to be aware of.
