it all depends on how hard you pry and how off center you are
a puller will pull stright off but prying will push it off side ways

the funny thing is that he said he got a new stator put in and then it just died like a month after....but the screws that hold the stator plate down are all stiped to h3ll and the rotar is all beat like they did use crobars

with penatrating oil that soaked in there and a regular 2 or 3 arm (harmonic or whatever) puller you should be able to get it off. make sure you use the middle rotator peice that comes with it so you dont bugger up the shaft.
heres a tip, while there is pressure on the flywheel and puller, lightly tap the center pusher screw or flywheel. this sets up vibration on the flywheel and shaft, which will work the liquid wrench in there and help it it pop off.
also remember to put assembly lube, anti seize, or something else that has graphite (because graphite wont breakdown or change viscosity with temp, like grease) in it to make it easy to get that wheel off again.
just some suggestions,
dave
