I have a 1982 model ATC 200. The next year it is called the 200S.

Does anyone know what frame or external parts will interchange with it? I am going to have to go through the brake system. I also am going to have to buy a rear brake foot pedal, this is just to start with. I am going to have to do some work on the front brakes as well. I took a long downhill ride last week, and if not for a cut off road to the right, I probably would have crashed.

Also, doesn't the plastic interchange with most 185S/200S years, except that they don't have a trunk? Thanks for any info. - Ted

you might wanna go to bikebandit and check part #'s for whatever you want to interchange. I am pretty sure things liek tires, rims, hubs, bars and things of that nature will interchange for sure.

There were a few slight differences between the two. The only reason they added the s was because in 83 they came out with the 200x giving them three 200cc trikes 200x,200,200es.And in 84 they added the 200m. So to make it simpler they added the s for sport model.

But the newer ones used 22" front and rear tires instead of the 25". The front and rear plastic is different. Because of the added front suspension. And because they wanted to make the 200s smaller and more sporty. But as far as the engine and electrical system they stayed pretty much the same. And i am pretty sure the brakes are the same.

The 200S models were produced from 84 to 86. Mechanically, the older 200 and the 200S are the same I believe, but they are physically different. The 200S ran the smaller 22X11X8 tires and teh fenders, seat, and tank are different. The 200S seat has a sort of toungue like extension on the frint of the seat that goes up the tank little (like on the X and R trikes, etc.). I am not sure about the frame itself, but the motor is the same.

Would the 1982 model 185s fenders, gas tank, seat and fenders work on a same year model 200? If this works, my quandery would be solved. I am trying to keep from ordering a bunch of this stuff, or worse yet, getting it on ebay, and having it to not fit. Thanks for any help. - Ted

I have a 82 185s. I think that the 82 200 was a big (25") tired machine with a bigger frame and two piece rear fenders. The 82 185s had small (22") tires and a one piece rear fender. The 82 200 evolved into the big red.

I cant say 100% for sure. But i dont see why fenders wouldnt interchange between the two models. I think they share the same frame and plastic.
