i have a 1985 200s engine in a 200x frame. i am fouling plugs alot. the plug isnt wet but it is covered in carbon. i need to know how to ajust the carb so that it wont foul the plugs. i think it is running a little rich cause when you start you can smell the gas in the exhaust.
thanks for the info and help

You would have to change your jets. you may want to take of the carb and bring it to the honda dealer they can measure the jets and tell you if they are worn wich will make it run ritcher. or if you take and lower the needle on the slide that will lean it up a bit. Or with my dirtbike the fuel inlet needle was worn and it was always running a little ritch, but the shop sait to polish it with tooth paste and the ridge where it was worn will go away and it did so give it a try its always worth a try!

Might be a dumb question but, have you checked your air cleaner to see if its clogged up with dirt? that will cause it run a bit rich.

you might also try just flushing out the carb really good. if the floats are sticking that might could make it flood and/or run rich (works that way on a car anyway).

Check the needle jet, it tends to wear into an oval shape over time and prevents the needel from being able to properly meter the fuel. It should have a perfectly round hole, otherwise replace it.:headbang:
